ROOT and branch improvements to Simmons Park in Okehampton look set to take place following a report to the town council's parks committee last week.
Tree surgeon Mike Woolley made a number of recommendations, such as the removal of dead wood, ivy cover, management to create species balance and priorites of work.
Members decided to implement many of the recommendations and that such tasks as pruning, felling and general tidying up would be carried out by the council's in-house staff.
