CALSTOCK parish clerk Julia Massey is retiring in July after almost 20 years in the job. Mrs Massey said she was coming up to 60 years old and wanted to spend more time with her family and concentrate on her other interests.

'It's been a very varied and interesting job but I feel it is time to go,' she said.

A new parish clerk is being sought for 28 hours a week. Calstock also has an assistant parish clerk, the position currently held by Hayley Bratchley.
