BOUNDARY stones which were to be erected to mark the millennium have finally been placed in position, if a little late due to unforeseen circumstances.

The first stone, to mark the boundary between Gulworthy parish and Bere Ferrers parish, was erected a little while ago, but the second stone has only recently seen the light of day. That stone marks the boundary between Gulworthy, Sydenham Damerel and Lamerton and was funded by all three parishes.

Gulworthy and Lamerton parish clerk Ann Cole explained that the monumental mason said the stones ? now safely in place ? have the initials of the parishes on them.
