A FREE afternoon of fun and tasty treats is in store for anyone in Okehampton town centre this Saturday (February 9).

Children and adults alike can enjoy an afternoon of pancake races and entertainment supported by the town's Chamber of Trade to celebrate Shrove Tuesday a few days early.

Children can take part in a pancake race at Red Lion Yard at 11am, with a race for adults at St James' Chapel at noon.

The Plymouth Inn will have a stall with pancakes, and there will be a free face painter and entertainment from Rob Pudner of the Entertainingly Different youth theatre group.

All are welcome to come along and join in the fun.
