CELEBRANT and preacher at parish communion in Northlew was the Rev Ruth Hansford. Mrs D Porter was organist and Mrs T Haycock read the Old Testament lesson. The duty sidesman was Mr M James.

In the evening there was a well attended united Palm Sunday service conducted by the Rev John Peak and the Rev Ruth Hansford.

Starting in church the congregation of adults and children processed across the square to the chapel, singing 'Onward Christian Soldiers', and the service continued there. Miss B Curtis was organist and lessons were read by Mrs E Peak and Mrs P Durston. The service concluded with refreshments in the chapel.
