ARTISTS from South Zeal, Sticklepath, Okehampton and area are joining with colleagues in Chagford to stage their annual art exhibition in Jubilee Hall, Chagford from August 6 to 10.

As can be expected from the long established art group to which they all belong, the work is of a high standard, and includes oils, watercolours and pastels.

Group members generally meet each week at Chagford Cricket Pavilion, but during summer sometimes arrange to meet at open air locations.

Their work is known nationwide and such is the reputation of the group that each year many people arrange to take holidays in the area to coincide with the exhibition.

More than 250 paintings will be on display this year and artists will be in the hall each day to talk to visitors about their work during the exhibition, which will be open from 10am to 5pm on the first three days and 10am to 4pm on the Saturday.
