THE Hatherleigh Silver Band have a busy schedule throughout the rest of December.

On Friday December 9, the band will play at the farmers' carol service at Hatherleigh Market from 7.30pm. They will be joined by the Exeter Male Voice Praise, and guest speaker George Dunn.

The band will lead the carol service at Dingles Steam Village in Lifton on Sunday December 11 from 2pm.

On Saturday December 17, the band will play a Christmas concert at Hatherleigh Community Centre from 7.30pm. Call the centre on 01837 810239 for more information.

Four days later on Wednesday December 21, the band will be assisting Gemma Collier with her 24 hour carol-a-thon at the Old Schools in Hatherleigh.

The mammoth effort kicks off at 5pm.

The band will also be playing carols around Hatherleigh and the local villages on Thursday 22, Friday 23 and on Christmas Eve.
