WORKSHOPS on fabric manipulation, stumpwork scarecrows, oriental lanterns, Branscombe lace and Elizabethan sweetbags are all included in the forthcoming programme for the Tavistock and District branch of the Embroiderers' Guild.

The season's meetings start on September 10 and stitchers of all abilities are welcome.

Among the membership there are experts in many techniques who are always available to help new members.

Meetings are held fortnightly in the Guide Hall at the entrance to Bedford Car Park.
