NORTH Tawton welcomed its friends from its twinned town of Blangy-le-Château for the latest twinning event.
Visitors from the French town crammed a lot into their weekend visit on October 4 and 5, including a visit to Killerton House and an entertaining tour of North Tawton led by Mike Thwaites.
North Tawton's firemen also got in on the act, serving visitors coffee and biscuits at the fire station.
Next year will be the 40th anniversary of the signing of the twinning charter between the two towns and the twinning association is already preparing for the celebrations.
Visits are usually bi-annual, but next year there will be a visit to Blangy at the end of May and then Blangy residents will be visiting North Tawton in August or September.
