THIEVES broke into the Okehampton Times office overnight on Tuesday/Wednesday and ransacked the premises.
An untidy search was made. Drawers and cupboards were emptied and the contents strewn on the floor. No cash is kept on the premises and nothing valuable was taken.
The thieves entered through a window. The alarm was raised when staff arrived for work at 8.30am.
Advertising salesperson Chris Dannan said: 'I wondered what had happened when I came in. There was paperwork everywhere. The drawers had been emptied out. It was quite a shock to come to work and find the office like that.'
