WITH the weather looking promising, there's an opportunity to make the most of the sunshine this weekend by visiting Bere Alston's open air music event, BereFest.

Live music from the Gruffnuts, Rock 'N' Roll Outlaws, Kitty and the Lost Boys and the new addition of Vicious Kitten will keep people on their toes while a barbecue, hog roast and beer tent will ensure everyone is well-fed. There will also be craft stalls and a bouncy castle to entertain the children.

BereFest takes place this Saturday at Collytown, from 5pm to midnight.

Tickets are £7 for adults aged 15 years and over, £3.50 for children five to 11, and under fives are free. They can be bought from shops in Bere Alston and Bere Ferrers but numbers are limited.

All proceeds from the event will be split between Help for Heroes, Bere Alston Regeneration Partnership, Chatterbox Parents Group and TiddlyWinks Toddler Group.
