ELEVEN ORC runners took part in this year's Tavy 7.

They joined more than 400 runners at the start on Plasterdown, Tavistock in rather windy conditions.

Club member's times: George Speak 46.06, Mervyn Rice 51.31, Detlef Scoenfeld 53.57, Jane Jackson 56.13, Leanne Rice 58.55, Jo Camies 1hr 00mins 21secs, Katy Speak 1.03.33, Emma Cunnington 1.07.22, Cathy Carey 1.07.58, Alison Holliday 1.07.59 and Carole Cornwall 1.08.29.

The ORC ladies' team including Jane Jackson, Leanne Rice and Jo Camies were awarded second prize overall.

Last month ORC's Leanne Rice and newlywed Claire Down completed the Cardiff Half Marathon. The weather was warm and sunny for runners completing this relatively flat course. Claire finished in 1hr 51mins 09secs and Leanne in 1.51.35.
