WORK on Tavistock?s new skate park is moving ahead and the facilities should be open within the next few weeks. A noise investigation into the proposed improvements and additions to the park concluded that there was no significant impact and the surfacing works should now be completed. Equipment should be installed shortly. In his report to town councillors, works superintendent Wayne Southall said an order had been placed to provide the perimeter fencing which would be installed after siting of the equipment. He said the park would be operational on completion of the above and further equipment would be installed at a later date, subject to additional funding.
