A BEAUTIFUL garden in Belstone will be open this Sunday to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.

The Belstone and Area Friends' Group of CHSW will be holding their open garden event at Andrews Corner on Skaigh Lane from 11am to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to see the garden's spectacular Japanese maples, and the autumn gentians and cyclamen should still be flowering, providing plenty of colour.

The garden was first opened up to the public by Harold and Kath Hill in May 1972, and is now managed by the second generation of the family, Robin and Edwina Hill.

They open regularly to the public to support a range of charities, including the National Gardens Scheme and for CHSW.

Entry costs £3.50 for adults and is free for children. There will be hot drinks, cakes, pasties and soup on sale throughout the day, as well as CHSW Christmas cards and other goods.

For more information or to buy your CHSW Christmas cards early, call Edwina and Robin Hill on 01837 840332 or Angela Hammond on 01837 840234, or visit http://www.belstonevillage.net">www.belstonevillage.net
