LIVE music, a beer tent and barbecue are only some of the things on offer at this year's BereCom open air fundraising event later this month.

Following last year's successful evening, BereCom have invited three popular local bands to play at the event in Collytown near Bere Alston, and will be providing all-round family entertainment.

BereCom is a committee of three groups, Tiddly Winks Toddler Group, Chatterbox Parents' Group and Bere Alston Regeneration Partnership, who are hoping to promote the individual groups, initiate networking and enable fundraising, while encouraging community spirit.

The open air event will be raising money for the groups and this year BereCom have added Help4Heroes to their fundraising.

Kitty and the Lost Boys, Gruffnuts and the Rock and Roll Outlaws will be providing the music, while visitors can enjoy a hog roast, barbecue, beer tent, stalls and a bouncy castle.

The event will be held on Saturday June 19 from 5pm to midnight.

Tickets, available from shops in Bere Alston, are £7 for adults, £3.50 for children 5 to 15, and under 5s are free.
