A SERVICE is being launched in Tavistock to help get the elderly online, following a recent advertising campaign by the Government.
Janet Mashford is opening a new shop and training centre Just-4-U at the pannier market and advice and guidance is being offered free to pensioners.
Home assistance and computer training will also be offered at the rear of the shop.
There will be a special opening of the new premises, which will sell computer related and paper craft items, hand-made cards and gifts, on Dickensian Evening tomorrow (Friday) to raise funds for the Salvation Army.
The recent advertising campaign by the Government highlighted that many elderly people are still in the dark when it comes to choosing broadband suppliers, line suitability and the minimum equipment required for their needs.
