PRAMS in all shapes and sizes will be lining up for the annual Sticklepath Pram Race on October 7.
All teams, with five members, must assemble for registration in the lay-by beside the old Rising Sun by 11.45am with an entrance fee of £10 a team.
A 'pram' can have any number of fixed wheels but no mechanical assistance and the rules involve every team member consuming a drink — alcoholic or non alcoholic — in every pub in Sticklepath, South Zeal and South Tawton.
The awards to be won, by the enterprising and the speedy, are the constructors' trophy, fancy dress and fastest male and female team.
There is also a shield and prize to be won by the team raising the most sponsorship and a prize for the most senior entrant.
