KEEN walkers are invited to join the Calstock Footpath Society for the 'Ten Pubs Trail' on Sunday, July 28.

The walk will be a relatively easy stroll of around four miles, identifying and discussing ten pubs and drinking houses that were once an integral part of life in the Tamar Valley.

Starting at Gunnislake Station, the route follows roads, lanes and tracks that took workers and families to the doors of their favourite watering holes.

It is mainly downhill and a lunch break will be taken at Cotehele Quay.

The walk will finish at the quay and transport can be arranged back to Gunnislake or return by train.

Meet at Gunnislake Station at 10.45am on Sunday, July 28 and wear stout footwear. The walk is not suitable for dogs.
