Bude U15s 0
Okehampton U15s 29
OKEHAMPTON dominated the early exchanges and were rewarded with their efforts as Bradley Ausden put pressure on the Bude defence and Tom Wilkins kicked through to open the scoring.
The first half was very much 'stop-start' with neither side in complete control.
The Okes' defence was solid when Bude threatened but there was no further scoring in the first half.
Bude started well after the interval and had good possession inside the Okes' 22 but some agressive tackling from Matt Johns caused a turnover, which he managed to kick through himself and outsprint the Bude defence to score.
Okehampton seemed to gain confidence and the forwards started to get some cleaner possession.
Charlie Nielson's quick passing from scrum half gave time for the Okes' midfield to show their pace and a series of good runs from Matt Johns and Henry Cooper made good ground.
The midfield combined again with excellent support play from Wilkins and Cooper giving Johns his second try.
It was now one way traffic as Wilkins caught the ball direct from a drop out and finding Cooper with a well timed pass. He scored in the corner.
The Okehampton boys weren't finished as the forwards won a scrum against the head and excellent quick hands from the backs gave Corey Burns some space to get the final score.
