OKEHAMPTON Rotary Club held a successful quiz night to raise money for charities close to members’ hearts on Friday, October 12 at the Charter Hall.

The event was attended by 70 people who were treated to a cheese and pickle supper as part of the entry fee.

The fun event, with questions set by well-known Okehampton quizmaster Bob Tolley, raised just over £500 for charity. Half of this will be donated to the Children’s Hospice South West, one of rotary president Mike Davies’ nominated charities for his year in office.

The club thanked everyone who attended the evening and made it such a great success. The next rotary event will be the Christmas coffee morning in the Charter Hall on Saturday, November 24 at 9.30am. All are welcome.
