A PATH in Okehampton has been given a makeover by the Okement Rivers Improvement Group (ORIG).

The working party volunteered their time to create a new surface to the water-damaged path between The Mill and Park Row last Saturday.

‘With the help of a local businessman who donated his labour and lent equipment we were able to make it fit for people to walk on,’ said ORIG treasurer Christine Marsh. ‘Without his machinery and expertise we wouldn’t have been able to get it done. Now people can use the path without getting wet feet.’
