OKEHAMPTON Golf Club ladies had a resounding victory in the Mail on Sunday Championship. Penny Deakin, Marcia Holwill, Dawn Philott and Cherry James all produced fine performances to beat Exeter at home 4-0 and now wait to find out who their opponents will be in the third round.
At the annual Okehampton Golf Club lady captain's tea and presentation of trophies Marcia Holwill walked away with an armful of trophies.
She won the club championship net, the club, county and LGU medals silver, the Jarman Bowl, the Eclectic cups net and gross and the Rees Baker cup.
