AIDEN Bostock and Ella Percival from Okehampton are continuing to prove themselves highly competitive Judo players, both well ranked nationally in their respective weight and age groups.
Ella, aged 12, has made consistent progress with a silver in the Western Area Closed, then fourth place in the West of England Open — both in the U16s age group, before an impressive fifth place at The Heart of England Championships in the pre-cadet group (U15s).
Ella then went forward through the western area trials to the British Championships. Here she achieved another great result with fifth place, losing to the gold medalist and then losing the fight for bronze against Laura Nairne from Scotland.
In the Plymouth Open U16s Ella won silver, and only lost to Emily Harper who won bronze in the British Championships in the age group above Ella's.
The Okehampton pair train regularly at high performance Tamar Judo Centre in Saltash.
