TWO fire engines went to the aid of a motorist whose car had left the road and ended up in a ditch in Okehampton last night.

The accident happened just before 7.30pm on Crediton Road. Two crews from the town’s fire station were swiftly on the scene and used tools to release the driver from the car. He was left in the care of an ambulance crew.
