Okehampton U16s 30

OKEHAMPTON started brightly winning a penalty that Liam Wilkins scored converted. With Oke moving the ball out wide Will Copp received the ball to run over for a try for Liam to convert.

With some more flowing play the ball came to Deane Andrew who evaded some tackles to cross the line to give the visitors a 15-0 lead. Deane then made a crunching tackle that stopped Chiefs winger dead and knocking him into touch. Chiefs scored a try mid way through the first half. This encouraged Exeter who started to put Oke under pressure.

In the second half the Chiefs continue with their pressure and scored a penalty to put them within seven points of Oke. Following a stoppage for an injury Okes restarted and forced Chiefs to give away a penalty which Liam converted.

The forwards pushed up and through some good scrummaging and rucking; from a lineout up near their try line Josh Bush caught the ball and passed it down to Dean Abrams who crossed the line right in the corner.

Dean Folland then ran through the centre to score under the posts which Liam converted. There was some very strong tacking by centre Dean Folland and full back Deane Andrew and some good rucking by Jake Barber and Josh.
