PLAYING at Devonport Services for the first time Okehampton started well with some strong runs by Callum Hughes, Reece Peacock and Ben Arnold breaking through tackles and linking well with the supporting players. This resulted with tries scored by Matt Dennis (2) Marcus Heywood and Brandon Horn, who also converted two.
The second half started slowly with players changing at regular intervals it took a while for them to find their pattern of play, but after putting together some good phases of play they found some gaps in Devonport's defences and tries soon followed scored by Marcus Heywood , Reece Peacock , Liam Bonnington and Blake Lovejoy — with Jacob Horn converting two.
This showed the team has a good strength in depth with several players missing. Player of the match was Brandon Horn in his first game at scrum half.
