AFTER weather had prevented Okehampton from training and playing friendly matches for the last four weeks the home side knew it wasn't going to be easy.
With key players missing the hosts started brightly, Chris Luxton failing to convert their early chance.
It was not long before Okehampton took the lead, a short corner routine working well with Mark Parsons converting.
Okehampton began to show their dominance with Nick Luxton instrumental in everything good about the home sides play.
Parsons made it two with a well worked move down the right.
The third was also well set up down that side with Parsons adding the final touch.
In complete control the hosts bombarded the visitors goal and Parsons found the net again after good work from Chris Luxton.
The fifth arrived too long after with James Rogers and Nick Luxton combining to set Parsons up for an easy finish.
The sixth came just before half time when Nick Luxton set up Chris Luxton who slotted the ball between the keeper's legs.
In what was probably the best first half of their season it was good to see Okehampton moving the ball wide so quickly.
The second half was a little different with the home side tiring, Parsons added his sixth before Ottery found a consolation goal.
Simon Bourne got the eighth as a poor second half concluded. Man of the match was Nick Luxton.
