Tavistock U15s 12
Okehampton U15s 47
OKEHAMPTON burst into life with Marcus Garrett going over with Liam Wilkins converting from wide out. Dean Folland then carved through a fragile defence with Wilkins adding the extras. Tavistock stuck manfully to the task but were hampered by only having 14 players with Oke in the mood not to take any prisoners. Will Copp went over wide out, again converted.
The returning captain Deane Andrew gaining in confidence after an inauspicious start to the season was soon on one of his mazy runs from his own 22 to touch down, converted by Wilkins. 28-0 at half time with the slope to play with all looked rosey for Okes.
In the second half Tavistock's 12 players started to play with determination and purpose, pinning Okes in their own 22 for long periods, which culminated in two well taken tries by George Glover and Jeremy Massey-Birch.
Undeterred Oke's Garrett took the fight almost single handedly with two aggressive runs. Wilkins stroked the ball between the uprights,
Okes came back with another fine three quarter attack Folland popping the ball to Josh Bush to score.
