THE Dartmoor Arts and Crafts exhibition has now been running for more than 20 years and is proving just as popular as ever. The show is being staged at Princetown Primary School from 10am to 5pm, and finishes this Saturday (August 16). Around 100 exhibitions are on display, covering all craft including embroidery, lace, wood turning, card making, ceramic painting and canvas painting, cake decorating, and cupcake making. During the event, stands are also selling arts and craft supplies. When the show ends on Saturday, it is estimated that more than 2,000 people will have gone through the school doors to see the many exhibitors and demonstrations. The show has been organised by Victor and Nancy Briggs from Gunnislake for the past 19 years. Proceeds from the event go to Princetown Primary School. The local WI provide its highly sought-after refreshments at the show and money collected goes to the elderly in Princetown, for their Christmas meal.
