NORTH Tawton Ladies travelled to Penryn on an inclement afternoon for a top of the table league game.  The pitch was extremely wet and muddy so running rugby was not an option.  Penryn opened the scoring with a well worked try down the wing in the first ten minutes but it went unconverted. Despite Penryn being awarded a yellow card in the last few minutes of the first half and North Tawton being camped on Penryn's five yard line for the last minutes of the first half they were unable to make the pressure pay. 

The second half saw play from end to end but both teams were evenly matched and no one could break the deadlock.  However, in the last five minutes of the second half a second yellow card awarded to Penryn saw a gap open up for Tasha Currie to break the first line of defence - passing the ball to Jo McBain to score the try which she unfortunately could not convert.

The game finished at five tries a piece with the league winners still to be awarded.
