This year's event was hosted by Exeter Company of Archers. A total of 150 archers turned out in all classes and Trish Beaver of the Tavistock Company of Archers won the novice award.
For an archer who has been shooting less than a year with a score of 486, this was a first class achievement and sets her up for the forthcoming season.
Also taking part was fellow archer Terry Fry who last year made the Devon County Team, Terry came fifth out of a large turnout for this shoot and is hoping for better things later in the year.
Sunday June 4 saw the first of the six selection shoots for the Devon County squad. Once again, Terry had a good day out and returned a score of 1055.
Trish also took part and again came away with a medal for winning the novice section for the ladies' round.
