TEAM Grizzly runners from West Devon took on their hardest challenge so far when they took part in the the 24th Grizzly multi-terrain race in Seaton — The Valley of the Bogs.
It was 20 plus miles of bogs and more bogs - most of it in thigh deep which made it very hard going on the legs and hills.
The team, who were made up of Bere Alston Trekkers, Tavistock Athletics and West Devon Borough Council, ran through the shingle, climbed the hills, dragged themselves through the bogs, before taking on a cliff challenge in mile 18 before 'sprinting' across half of mile of shingle to finish.
First bear home was Becky Mingo followed by team captain Dotty Allan, Hannah Colston and the rest of the team. Some Grizzlies have already signed up for next years 25th anniversary event which is 25 miles!
The team had such support for Barnadoes on the course from lots of people. The Grizzlies are continuing to race money for both local and national charities. For more information go to http://www.berealstontrekkers.btck.co.uk">www.berealstontrekkers.btck.co.uk
