Karen Percival of Okehampton United Charities met members of the North Dartmoor Search Rescue Team (NDSART) recently to celebrate the installation of a new ceiling mounted projector in the team’s headquarters in Hameldown Road, Okehampton.

The projector, funded with a £1,000 donation from the charity, will be used to support the delivery of training sessions and for team operational briefings and supporters’ group meetings at the centre.

It will also be used in presentations to external organisations to support local events such as Ten Tors, and raise awareness of the team’s activities.

The NDSART is a registered charity manned by unpaid volunteers and completely dependent on donations.
