THE deadline for an innovative awards scheme to mark the achievements of people, organisations and businesses in West Devon expires next Thursday.
Nominations for the new honours, instigated by West Devon Borough Mayor Cllr Richard Phillips, must be made by Thursday, October 31.
The awards fall into two categories ? one for a young person under the age of 18, and one for an organisation or business in the borough or a person aged 18 years or over.
Cllr Phillips, who will be one of the judges of the awards, said: ?We are looking for those who have done something particularly noteworthy within the borough or enhanced the reputation of West Devon on the national stage.?
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 17.
So, if you know of any person, business or organisation you think should be in line for an award send in your nominations now.
