BROADCASTER and businessman Noel Edmonds, who lives at Jacobstowe, will be a guest speaker at the region?s longest running business event, Business South West.
Noel, who is currently back in the studio filling in for Johnnie Walker on Radio 2?s Drivetime show, will present one of the key free seminars at the event in October.
Noel is managing director of the Video Meeting Company, which he founded four years ago.
The company, which has a regional office in Jacobstowe, provides tailor made video conferencing solutions to more than 300 clients.
?Being a keynote speaker at this vital business event for the region gives me the opportunity to show how Video Meetings can assist businesses in their communications,? said Noel, who presided over the recent Okehampton Show.
?Business South West is the perfect platform to network with companies from across the area, with exhibitors and visitors coming from Exeter to Bath and Cornwall to Bristol.
?I am delighted to be involved in the event, which is now in its ninth successful year.?
During the event, which will be held on October 16 and 17 at Exeter?s Westpoint, there will be 20 seminars presented by regional and national companies.
Noel?s seminar is scheduled for October 16, and other speakers throughout the two days will include Roger Hunt, operations director from the Met Office and Rebecca Harding, economics director from the Work Foundation.
