POLICE have acted to reassure parents in Yelverton, following an incident last Thursday at around 2.40pm on the village's play park.

Police received a report from a woman that two males had attempted to become involved in playing on the park equipment with young children.

Following rumours that circulated on?Facebook, investigating officers stress that there was no attempt to abduct a child and that the children were with their mothers at the time of the incident.

Officers are satisfied that no offences were committed and have no concerns regarding the incident. Police reference number 414 170512.
