G Belli Cup
Brixham Utd 3
Chagford 1
CHAGFORD bowed out of their divisional cup, at the semi-final stage, leaving themselves free to work on their indifferent league form.
With United going so well the result should not be a surprise but the visitors did better than the scoreline suggests.
Chagford's notable consolations may be in that Robbie Miller seems to have found his eye for goal in recent matches — with his goal in this match being a fine strike that gave the home 'keeper no chance.
Secondly, this was to be a rare occasion when Chagford picked up no cards. Both issues will prove key in the team's efforts to pull themselves up the table.
l Chagford return to league duties at home to Totnes and Dartington SC this week, kick-off at 2.30pm.

Chagford Reserves 0
Watts Blake and Bearne Thirds 2
THE visitors earned all three points by coping with ever-worsening conditions and out-playing their high flying hosts. Sensibly, referee Phil Davey took the opportunity to start the match early, thus avoiding the worst of the weather.
Chagford started well but found it difficult to unlock a stubborn defence, marshalled by two experienced and strong centre-backs.
The return of both Reeves and Oliver added some strength up front and guile in midfield. However, the ball was too often played into a swirling wind and they missed the control of their player-manager Simon Ralph.
Watts played their way back into contention, started to boss the middle of the park but found Antony Geering in fine form. The youngster made one brilliant parry to deny Watts but was let down down by his defence, for the opening goal.
Two chances to clear their lines were spurned and Simon Langdon was left free in the 32nd minute to bang the ball in from close range.
With the wind picking up but slightly more in their favour, Chagford should have taken advantage. As it was, Watts continued to be the more dominant and were rewarded just seven minutes into the second half.
Geering made a rare mis-reading of a through pass, was beaten to the ball and could only watch as Langdon was set up for an easy tap-in.
Chagford tried to respond but could not find a way through.
lChagford Reserves currently have no fixture this week.
