AS part of the Okehampton sports festival Okehampton Hockey Clubs and OCRA organised a mixed hockey tournament.
Teams were invited from Bude, North Devon, Exeter CV Hornets and Ashburton. The morning session involved three games for each team in mini leagues, followed by semi-finals and a final.
The Oke B team had a close game against Bude B, and lost to Ashburton and Hornets.
The Oke A team were more successful. Jo Moppett scored an excellent hat-trick against North Devon in a 4-0 win, and Oke A drew the game with Exeter Hornets.
The match of the day was an exciting game against Bude A. Okes were leading 2-1 with moments to go. Nick Kearley saved a penalty flick in the Oke goal and a solid defensive performance kept them in the lead.
As group winners, Oke A progressed to the semi-final where they were beaten by Exeter Hornets B.
The two Hornets teams met in the final with their A team running out 2-1 winners.
