TAVISTOCK Golf Club held the Ladies? Guest Day on August 1. Winners were Nicky Gawman and Laura Eastwood (Yelverton) (34 points). Second were Bev Ruth and Jill Whitelock (Staddon Heights) (33); third, Wendy Wroe and Jayne Wright (Staddon)(32); fourth Sue Gawman and Di Reardon (Yelverton)(31 c/b); and fifth Fran Horton and Hilary Newcombe (Bigbury)(31). Front nine prize was won by Margaret Foster and Beryl Walke (Stover). Back Nine prize went to June Kendall and Pam Hayman (Trevose). Guests' nearest the pin prize went to Karen Preston (China Fleet) and guests' longest drive went to Kate Ball. There were some excellent scores in the medal and Goddard Smith trophy competition on August 8 which was won by Norma Baker. The winner of Division 1 was Kerry Gawman (nett 67); 2 Kate Butler (68); 3 Trudi Luke (71). Division 2 winner Norma Baker (nett 65); 2 Jill Millichamp (68); 3 Sheila Armstrong (69).
