BERE Alston Brownies and Guides are again providing a Christmas postal delivery service within the Bere Peninsula.
Cards will be stamped and collected from the Lanterns in Bere Ferrers and the pharmacy, the butchers and John Brown?s Dairy in Bere Alston.
l Following last year?s successful late night Christmas opening evening, Bere Ferrers Village Stores repeated the venture recently. Mullied wine and mince-pies added to the festive cheer as shoppers looked over a wide variety of Christmas goods.
Villagers were delighted to have the opportunity to shop conveniently, and expressed thanks to Margaret and Alan Willmott.
l The church hall at Bere Ferrers was crowded for a wine tasting evening last month.
