AN evening WI for the Brentor, Mary Tavy and Lydford area has been formed, following an enthusiastic meeting of more than 30 women of all ages.

Three women volunteered to be the officers to steer the new WI forward; Nicky Deane-Simmons is the president, Trish Wall is secretary and Jane Dunn treasurer.

The first full meeting will take place in the dining room at the Trout and Tipple on Thursday February 23, starting at 7.30pm.  

Members will join officially by paying their subs, and will choose the name for their new WI. There will also be a speaker.

Future meetings will be held at Brentor Village Hall on the fourth Thursday of each month, starting on March 22 at 7.30pm.
