CHILDREN from Tavistock Community Primary School inaugurated the Mary Budding Trust website last week.

Pupils launched the new site by clicking their mouse to access information about the West Devon charity, aimed at helping children with special needs living in the area by the provision of grants or equipment.

The website was created by Mickael Le Botlan, chairman of the Pontivy City International, who also attended the web launch last week.

Mickael is organising a concert on May 9 in Pontivy with 400 volunteers from 40 associations, schools and shops collaborating together. Half the profit will be given to Pontivy's other twinned town of Ouelessébougou to help repair water wells, and the other 50% will go to the Mary Budding Trust.

The inauguration was also attended by Judith Pearce, Tavistock Primary School's acting headteacher and two of the charity's trustees — Wendy Bloom and Tony Wates.

Mr Wates, chairman of the charity, expressed his gratitude to Mickael, not only for his hard work in setting up the website, but for thinking of the trust as one of his sponsored charities.
