A NEW football team which has been set up in Okehampton won their first league game of the season last week. The Bull Hill Wanderers were set up by Tim Stevens, pictured above with club sponsor John Stevens of Stevens Estate Agents. John said: ?We were delighted to help a new team with funding and to hear they won their first game. Hopefully, it has provided them with a footing to go on and continue to win games and climb the leagues.? Tim said: ?We are very grateful to Stevens Estate Agents for their support and also to the Okehampton Rotary Club who sent a generous contribution. ?When starting a new team in any sport, there are lots of costs involved. ?Without the help we have received we could not play. So far we already have 30 players signed on for us which shows the desire among our community to play sport.?
