LUXURY chocolatier Browne's of Okehampton has launched a unique truffle treat, following the re-opening of the business earlier this year.
The company has launched a 'Truffle Pop', a decorated truffle on a stick in four natural flavours, caramel, vanilla, raspberry and strawberry.
The launch is yet another sign of the company's success since production at the factory re-started in April. The factory closed in March, causing the loss of 21 jobs.
The business was bought out of administration by Joe Keohane and Nick Baker, the team who turned Cornish-based Sharp's Brewery from a £2.5-million to a £17.5-million business.
Business at Browne's is now thriving, producing a delicious range of chocolates as well as truffles, including enrobed fruit, after dinner mints and a new range of 'Devonshire Fudge' launched in July.
Joe Keohane said: 'Our mission is to produce the most delicious chocolate and fudge using the best ingredients locally and from across the globe to make new products adhering to our cores values of quality and sustainability.
'Chocolate is a luxury product and deserves to be treated as such.
'We researched the market and found that people wanted to put together bespoke gifts, and so we have provided them with a way of combining high quality hand-made chocolate and tasteful presentation,
'The Truffle Pop is highly innovative and looks fantastic in an eye catching display unit and combined with its great price should be very popular.
'It is a fun but refreshingly creative and affordable chocolate, which is suitable for gifts, treats, even corporate functions.'
