OPENER John McGahey was injured when the score was on 21 bringing Arnie Searle and Orin Roesstorff together.
Searle made 127 not out in 78 balls, scoring 7x4 and 10x6 in a partnership of 102 with Roesstorff playing his first game, who made 30.
Colin Mortimore also on his first game scored 27 not out ? a partnership of 71 with Searle. Tavistock making 216 for 3 in a rain-reduced 37 over match.
Tavistock produced some good bowling. Ben Neale took three wickets all bowled in his 5-2-18-3.
Orin Roesstorff 5-0-11-2 bowled well on his first match from South Africa, playing on a wet wicket. So did new boys from Marjons, John Doel (6-2-15-1) and Rob Solway (6-1-25-0); and regulars Andy Gauler (8-1-17-1) and Steve Nicholson (7-1-36-0).
Launceston openers Chapman and Horwell were both caught behind in two good catches by wicket keeper David Manning.
Jon Parsons made 54 before being bowled by Ben Neale. They reached 136 for 8. Tavistock winning by 80 runs.
Callington and Tavistock gave a practice match to first and second team members. A Gauler top scored with 38. Callington won by 60 runs. Ben Neale made 31 at the end of the match.
A Kaitiff took three wickets (8.4-1-39-3) and B Neale 2 (8-0-56-2).
