DARTMOOR National Park Authority is looking for new members for the Dartmoor Access Forum, to advise on public access issues in the national park.

Members of the forum are appointed to represent the interests of people who use the right of access to open country and registered common land and public rights of way, as well as owners and occupiers of land affected. They can also be appointed to represent other interests relevant to the area, such as tourism, sport or conservation.

Applicants with knowledge or experience of conservation, environmental education, social exclusion or cycling would be particularly welcome.

The DNPA is also keen to encourage representation from young people, women, people on low incomes, people with disabilities and individuals from ethnic minorities.

Appointments are for three years and are unpaid, although members may claim for travel expenses and a carer's allowance, where appropriate, for attending the four meetings each year, taking place on weekday evenings.

Further information and an application pack can be found at http://www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk">www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk or contact Andrew Watson on 01626 832093 for an informal discussion.
