ST LUKE'S Hospice is consolidating its three Tavistock stores, opening a new, larger store in a prominent town position.

The three vacated stores have already received strong interest from small local businesses and St Luke's hope that these vacant units will be let quickly.

The new store on Duke Street is set to open next month.  With double the amount of square footage the shop will offer a wider range of products including fashion, books, furniture and a concession of the popular No 43 boutique brand.

John Saunders, new shop manager, said: 'We're really pleased to be opening this new store. We hope the shoppers of Tavistock will support our new opening and enjoy the affordable green products we have on offer.'

Nicola Critchley, St Luke's business development manager, said: 'This move will not only allow us to stock a greater selection of goods for our customers, but also to make efficiency savings in the operational overheads of our trading in Tavistock, increasing the potential to increase profits to fund the care of terminally ill people from Tavistock, South West Devon and East Cornwall.'
