TAVISTOCK had four new girls playing for the first time and they helped the team to stay camped in Taunton?s half.
Taunton were first to score with two tries, followed by Tavistock?s Wiz Francis being yellow carded for offside.
With Francis back Tavistock played good support rugby. Flanker Emily Johns scored a try from half way when she ran through Taunton?s defence to score.
Taunton replied with a try back from the centre.
Prop Clare White powered over for Tavistock from a penalty but then was also sin-binned. Things became heated. Tavistock?s third player Stacey Pollard, was to follow White for ten minutes.
One of Taunton?s players was red carded.
Helen King stopped more tries while down to 13 players. Big tackles were put in by Hayley Williams, but Taunton had the last say with a try.
