A SPONSORED cycle ride through India in aid of CLIC has had to be changed to Spain because of the current political situation.

Stella White from Morwellham was due to go on the ride at the end of this month, but was advised by organisers that the current advice was that travellers in India 'should keep a low profile'. 'As there would have been 100 of us cycling that wouldn't have been possible,' Stella said.

Having been geared-up for an exotic location, Stella was disappointed at the change to Spain, but the ride through Andalucia did promise to be interesting. 'It will be the same number of miles, but more hills, although cooler.'

So far Stella has raised nearly £3,000 for CLIC through sponsorship and hopes to raise yet more.
