A NEW chairman has been announced for Round Table Tavistock.

Phil Timings proudly became the 58th chairman of Round Table Tavistock at this year’s annual meeting, taking on the reigns from Neal Taynton-Young.

Phil said: ‘We’ve got a lot going on in Round Table this year, with so many activities already planned — from giant paddle boarding, to karting and boat trips. As always there’ll be lots of laughs and different activities, but we’ll also be focused on getting new members.

‘Ask any member of Round Table why they joined and you will get a different answer. However, it’s more often than not the social side — getting out of the house and doing something different once a fortnight that appeals.

‘We’re looking for new members to join in the fun, whenever they can. A break from the norm is a good thing and that’s what we offer. I’d challenge any man aged between 18 and 45 to join us and not say that they’ve had a great time!’

Tavistock Round Table meets every fortnight. If you are interested in joining the Round Table Tavistock please contact James on 07801 557344 or visit www.tavistock.roundtable.co.uk
